VINYL FLICKS
On one level, it’s where film and music meet.
A combination of both my passions. On another, it’s all back to mine while literally flick through some vinyl to put on some records to listen to. On yet another, it’s an effect found on the BOSS RC-505. It’s all these things and more.
On the wireless
Drop by and listen to our regular show. A mix of old, new and unheard. Music from soundtracks; music that sounds like it’s from a soundtrack; music that SHOULD be on a soundtrack.
Bargain bin
Flick through the bargain bin, a place for all my random musings from new finds to old music videos, caught bleary-eyed on one of those music channels. All done in the best possible taste…
What I blog about
About me

Well, it’s not that complicated…
A vinyl addict since I was old enough to remember, mainly due to my mum’s Chic and Donna Summer records. I never lost the bug. Music is my sanctuary, my hobby, my passion. My occasional DJing job. Very occasional.
Well one of them. I also love film, from watching Wilder and Hitchcock and double bills of Hammer Horror on the TV when I was five or six. Now I’m focussed on Asian film, having founded easternKicks.com, one of the world’s foremost English language sites for reviews, interviews and much more in Asian film. We also do a regular podcast.
But maybe that’s not enough. Time to return to the mothership and give my other passion time to grow too.
In the real world, I work as a graphic designer, working across print and online projects. Hire me. Go on, I dare you…
